A Merry Christmas in 2011

I trust that everyone had a merry Christmas!  It’s one of my favorite times of the year and this one did not disappoint either.  It was nice to spend this time with family and friends.

My day began with a present to myself….sleeping in.  Since Christmas fell on a Sunday this year my family and I headed to church and met up with our “other” family.  :)  It was a great service.

My niece had to show off her new outfit of course.

After church we headed home so that we could finish up dinner and unwrap our presents.  My niece and nephew were a little impatient, but who wouldn’t be!  Once the mayhem started it was game on!

Can’t have a day without a picture of my cat Ghost :)

My friend Angey and I also exchanged gifts

Forever True, Forever Friends

I was so excited to get a few running themed gifts from my sister-n-law and I can’t wait to try them out!

I was pretty stoked to get the blender bottle too!  It’s the perfect smoothie size…:)

A couple of other special gifts that I can’t wait to dig into.

I’m a HUGE Nicolas Sparks fan and his latest book is called: The Best of Me.  I am also a huge fan of Chris Tomlin as well, so I was excited to get his latest release.

The next gift is kind of a funny gift, but I really did need it.  I am currently taking my lunch to work in a Wal-Mart sack.  Weird I know, but that is all that I could find to take my lunch in that was big enough.  Please tell me I am not alone in the fact that when you try to eat healthy you like to take several options in your lunch tote.  When I opened this present I was pretty excited!

It’s the perfect size with room to spare!

The last bit of news that I wanted to share was the final gift to myself……I started feeling pretty bad last night and at first attributed it to just consuming large amounts of sugar in the last few days.  I don’t think that was it.   I have been sick since 10:30 last night and still don’t feel 100%.  Not sure what it is, but I feel WAY off.  So, with that said, I am going to take it pretty easy today on the food intake and enjoy this rainy day off.  I love that I work for a bank when the holidays roll around.  Federal Holidays?? bring em on!

I hope that you have a great day!
