Back to the grind

Well it was back to the grind for me today.  Sometimes having that extra day off can make for a hectic day back at work.  It wasn’t all that bad, thank goodness.  I am still not feeling all that great due to some tummy issues, but felt much better today.

Last night was also my friend Angey’s last night here in Arkansas.  :(  The plan was to get up extra early Monday morning and hit the sales.  This did not happen.  I pretty much stayed in bed all day and slept off and on.  I managed to get one meal down yesterday, toast with some peanut butter on it, but that was it.  Oh! and one Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks.

We started out at Target to see if we could find these containers for Christmas decorations.  They were sold out.  Not surprised.

Then we headed to Kohl’s.  I usually don’t find great sales at Kohl’s, but they had some really great stuff on sale.  I got a couple of work shirts and sweaters to go with them.  Angey also kindly gifted me with a necklace/earring set that goes with each shirt!  I just love her!

Feeling super beat, and Starbucks nearby, we couldn’t resist ourselves.  Sick or not I was going to stop there…;)

Texting her husband.  I do not have one of those…..the husband, not the phone. lol! :)  You know, the jokes are so funny in my head, but when they come out….not so much!

**sniff** I miss you already Angey!

Ever have one of those days where you look at your clock and just know that you are dreaming??  I had to be at work this morning at 8:00 and it was 7:14 when I rolled out of bed!! AGH!  Let me just say that things were flying!

Since I wasn’t able to get my own breakfast together this morning I stopped by the lovely Subway and picked up an egg white/bacon English Muffin.  After not eating for nearly 24 hours it was yummy!

When it came to lunch I wanted to still keep it on the lite side and settled on some Strawberry Dannon Greek Yogurt with some Pumpkin Flax Granola.  I also started my new Nicholas Sparks book, The Best of Me, today on my lunch break.  I couldn’t put it down!  Mr. Sparks you do not disappoint.

I also had a Mocha on the side…:) It did not disappoint either.

With such a lite lunch I started to feel a little hungry around 3:30, so I went for some more protein.

It hit the spot!

Not having a chance to workout this morning kinda threw me off a bit, so when I got home I knew that if I didn’t get one in right away I wasn’t going to do one.  So I grabbed one of my Firm DVD’s and went after it.  Cardio Dance Fusion….it was a hot mess at first, but once I got the moves down I was on fire baby!  Lol…not really, but I do like to dream.  I also did some lower body strength training.  I have worked up quite an appetite!

So I hope your finding your footing and getting back to some sort of routine.  I know I am! I hope that you have a great night!
