Morning!! I hope everyone has had a great weekend and starting your Monday off great! I had a busy weekend, and I also decided to unplug for a bit. It was nice not being attached to my laptop or my camera. I had a really great weekend and kept busy the entire time. Let’s get started on a quick recap shall we.
After working all day, my co-workers and I headed to Little Rock for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl-A-thon. There were tons of people there already! We didn’t stay very long, but did manage to see a few people who I hadn’t seen in a while. Diahann and I went to Starbucks after and I picked up a Gouda/egg sandwich (since we had not had any dinner)……holy cow this sandwich is the best! We probably got back into town around 9:45, so it was about 10:00 when I got home and let’s just say I was ready for bed.
I had to work Saturday morning, but after work Diahann and I had plans to take her niece to see “The Woman in Black” with Daniel Radcliff. If you like suspense and intense movies, you will LOVE this one! I think every 5 minutes there was an eery silence and then….BAM!! It was great!
We didn’t check the times and when we got to the theater the movie had already started and the next showing was a couple of hours later. We decided to go to the next town over from Little Rock and catch the next showing. We just enjoyed the drive!
Once we got back into town, I headed home to relax and rest. I was going to blog, but decided then that it would be nice to unplug for a bit. I really enjoy blogging and reading other blogs A LOT, but I also think it’s healthy to step away for a bit and regroup.
Our services was really cool! We had a guy come in from the Southern Baptist State Convention to talk about demographics. Now, before you think “demographics??” let me just say that is was really interesting. He talked about how every church is different and that even though we are all called to tell others about Christ, your church has a specific group of people it will end up reaching. People that you get connected with and have things in common with. His approach made it really interesting and I liked it a lot. He even talked about the specific age groups that live in a two and seven mile radius and why it is important to reach them and stay connected to them.
Ok….onto some eats! Here are some of the things that I have had since we last spoke.
English muffin/egg/turkey bacon/provolone cheese/spinach combo.
Update on weekly workout:
I really enjoyed planning out my workouts last week. I ended up taking two rest days, but I still knew what I was going to be doing and what body part I was going to work. Because of my busy weekend, I ended up taking Friday and Saturday as rest days. Sometimes the body just needs two! Sunday I combined my upper body and stretching workouts.
Jillian Michaels: Ripped in 30
I am off to read for my class tonight! I hope you have a great Monday and I will talk to ya later!
Question: Do you ever unplug from the internet?
