Good Sunday morning to you! How has your weekend been for you? I have caught up on some much needed rest…..well, I hope anyway. As I said here, last week was kind of long to me and I felt very tired by Friday. My body was screaming out……..rest!! For the last six months I have been taking Vitamin D meds and toward the end of the week I feel pretty drained. I have a follow up appointment this coming Wednesday to see if I need to continue taking the prescription version or if I can just get some over the counter and take it every day.
Yesterday afternoon, I met up with some ladies from my church…. (and some men) to watch the movie October Baby. Have you seen it? It’s the story of a young girl finding out that she is adopted and the product of a failed abortion. It was such a great movie! The main focus of the film is about forgiveness. Of yourself and others.
Breakfast :
Two eggs with spinach and one half of a grape fruit..
I heard the coolest thing when I was on my way to town yesterday. I was listening to KLOVE and Lysa TerKeurst from Proverbs 31 Ministries was talking about feeling alone/lonely and feeling rejected. She said something that really stuck out to me. "the sting of rejection only stings if you let it”. Cool right? Being a perfectionist nearly my entire adulthood has led to fears of rejection and when it actually happens it causes me to withdraw and feel very lonely. Here’s the deal, it only stings if I let it. Christ gives me the power to overcome that feeling.
This was on Lysa’s page:
A few years ago, I was in an exercise class when the gal next to me said she could hardly believe her sister now weighs 150 pounds. Hi, I’m Lysa TerKeurst for Proverbs 31 Ministries. That scandalous weight was my goal weight.
Like many women, I’ve struggled for years confusing my sense of worth with the number on my scale.
Finally I dedicated my healthy eating journey to God – every bite. And, after a LOT of hard work and prayer, I’m now able to step on the scale and see the numbers as an indication of how much my body weighs, not as an indication of my worth. So when I think back on my friend’s comment, I can smile. Because I am no longer defined by a number. If you’re trying to get healthy right now, be inspired by clicking on Lysa’s blog at Proverbs 31.org.
Super cool news!
I have some exciting news!!! I got an e-mail the other day from one off the ladies at PV Body about reviewing the products that they provide. It’s a cool thing! You simply take this short quiz and they put together a workout outfit for you and ship it right to your door!! How cool is that? I have always struggled with having the right workout clothes for my workouts. I mean seriously, you do not want to see me sometimes when I throw one together. It’s not pretty.

I was up at 4:30 this morning, so I am sure I will be getting a nap this afternoon.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Yay
I’m happy you finally mentioned the pv body thing on here!! They couldn’t have asked a better chica to do it
And thank you so much for sharing that quote/idea from Lysa. I love hearing stuff like that, writing it down, and tucking it away for a day when I’m really struggling…and it’s always a welcome reminder even when it’s an easier day
Get on that nap stat, love!! Rest is the best thing to catch up on <3
I can’t wait to get my first package! It was a great quote..:) She also has this great book called, Made to Crave. It’s about her struggles with weight and how she came to a positive place.
ugh 430 wake up.. you better take a nap!
I think I took a 15 minute nap! Agh, I am not good at setting still
That movie sounds pretty good! I will have to look out for it!
You should check it out
The movie sounds interesting. Glad that you had a good weekend and that you got caught up on some needed rest.
Good luck with PV Body. Pretty much everyone I know has had the worst experiences with them. Hopefully yours is much better.
It’s a great movie! I hope it’s a great experience!
How fun about those work out outfits! It sounds like a great weekend too, and I love that point about things only stinging if you let them.
It really hit home with me..
