Well, today is the big day! Braces!! I have to be up there at 9:30 this morning so I am up early to start my day! I can’t tell you how long I have waited for this day!
The past two days I have been going through some boxes of things and well, basically throwing away things that I don’t need. It really feels good to get rid of some things that I don’t need. My parents and I are going to have a yard sale this Spring so we are getting ready for that as well. I can’t wait for the yard sale, but lets be honest……they’re a lot of work!
Yesterday’s lunch:
Very random, but really good….. Two egg omelet with spinach, steamed broccoli, and one Minneola (tangelo)

Dinner:
I wanted to try something a bit different for dinner… I really love throwing things together and putting it in a bowl! I took 1/2 of a sweet potato and roasted it, made some brown rice and chicken and then I also added some spinach… delicious!
1/2 Sweet potato
2 ounces of chicken
1/2 (maybe a bit less) brown rice
Spinach
Workout:
One mile run! This year I really wanted to concentrate on living healthy all of the time, not just necessarily goals per say. I mean I want to set goals in my life, but when it comes to healthy living, sometimes I feel restricted. I also feel really guilty when I don’t reach them. So, this year it is all about living healthy every day. With that said, one of the things that I have been working on is having an 8 minute mile. I have come close, 8:15, but it was on a speed drill. Which is nothing to cough at, but I want to be able to run one mile at a consistent pace and reach that 8 minute mile. Last night I ran one mile at 8:15……no speed drill!!
Breakfast:
Oatmeal with almond butter and coffee (recycled photo….it’s dark outside)
What are your plans for today?? There is a Fresh Market right next to where I will be at today and I need to stop there and pick up some Apple Cider Vinegar… but I am thinking that I will want to get home after having my mouth open for a couple of hours. In fact, they lady I spoke to last week said to go ahead and take some Tylenol before I came.
I also have to go by the post office to mail my sweetie a package. (He’s in Washington State) I know, it’s far, but one day I will tell you how we met! ![]()
That’s it……braces, Fresh Market, post office and then probably a nap.

Good luck love! I hope you took Tylenol before you left because you’ll need it ha, but it gets better quick! Your food from yesterday looks great…Big Kid and I were just looking at them and we both said yum! I love throwing things in a bowl for dinner too…get a little bit of everything that way
And I like how you want to focus on healthy living every day…that’s my goal too….although an 8 minute mile is an awesome thing to shoot for too! I know you can do it
