6 Days Left!

on December 20, 2011

I can’t believe that this week is here.  Is it me or has the whole year just gone by so fast.  I swore this year I was not going to shop the last week of December.  I did not keep that promise. 🙂  There are a few items that I needed so I ventured out today after I got off work at noon.  Whole Foods is about 45 minutes away, so when I need to go I try to make sure the trip is worth my while.  My thoughts were that everybody would be at work while I was on my little trip.  They weren’t….:)    Before I get to my little trip to the store, let’s start with breakfast.

Alarm went off at 5:30 and I shot up out of bed to do my workout.  Post workout I wanted something that would last me all morning so I went with a protein pancake.

I added a thin layer of Peanut Butter and some chia seeds.  I also used some Sugar Free Syrup. If you are interested in reading about Chia seeds here’s a link for you.

I love early days at work!  It allows me to see the real world during the day, but also allows me to do errands if I need to.  I wasn’t hungry when I left for Whole Foods, but I did munch on a cliff bar once I was finished shopping.

and one of these….

Caramel Brule’

I debated on getting a Peppermint Mocha, but the Brule’s are seasonal, so that is what I went with.  🙂

In my basket of goodies at Whole Foods:

There were also lots and lots of goodies that were out too!  I didn’t indulge, but I did take a picture.  It was my first time to photo something in a store…!  At first I felt a little weird, but nobody seemed to care.  🙂

I also stopped at Wal-Mart and picked up a couple of things.  My mom had told me about this new Wal-mart store so I really just wanted to check it out, but I was also out of my Dannon Greek Yogurt.

Pumpkin Flax Granola and some Bolthouse Farms Mocha Cappuccino.  I am excited to try the cappuccino… has 15 grams of protein in the entire bottle and is full of Potassium.  I couldn’t believe they had these items at Wal-mart!

I also was able to wrap some presents too!  Sorry, no picture.  It was a hot mess of wrapping paper everywhere!!

I wanted dinner to be simple so I made a quinoa/rice blend and added some chicken and stir fry green beans.  I wasn’t too sure about the green beans, but I am out of everything green! It actually tasted pretty good and I will probably have it for lunch tomorrow…:)

I hope you guys have a great night!  🙂
