The first Monday in 2012!

Well I don’t know about you, but I feel much better this morning!  Still a little congested and coughing, but all in all, much better.  When I went to bed last night, I really wanted to get up early this morning so that I could get back into some sort of routine.  Getting up at 5:30 tomorrow is probably gonna hurt.  😉  Anyway, it didn’t happen this morning.  I got up at 8:30, however, I did get a workout in and was thankful for that.

Workout:

The Firm Cardio Dance Party

It’s only 30 minutes, so I worked in some upper body strength.  A total of 45 minutes.  🙂  After my workout I wasn’t sure what I wanted for breakfast, but ended up going with the egg, bacon, and bagel combo.

The organic blueberry jam was the icing on the cake so to speak…:)

Ok…..I have to share this!!  My mom has been doing Weight Watchers for months now and for the most part is doing really well.  I try to encourage her to incorporate some sort of exercise into her plan.  As most of you know, this is a part of any health plan.  My mom just turned 60 this past year, (she is going to kill me), and so I know her body is a little limited as to what she can do.  She just walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes!!  This is huge!  I am so proud of her and hope that she continues to do this.  🙂  Mom if you are reading this, and I know that you are, I love you!

I have to tell you this funny thing…..I am almost embarrassed to admit this, but I am hooked on a new show.  It’s called Finding Bigfoot  and it comes on the Animal Planet channel.  I love it!!  You would think that it would be kind of cheesy, and to a certain degree it is, but it really is interesting.  🙂  I am currently watching the latest episode right now.  😉

I meant to tell you yesterday!!  I finished my book!!  The Best of Me: by Nicholas Sparks aaaand I started a new one!

Also by Nicholas Sparks.  A movie, with the same name, is coming out this year and I wanted to get it read before the it came out.  I think it’s starring Zac Efron…..I just looked, it’s comes out April 20th.  🙂

Nutrition Tip:

    Haha I’ve heard about the bigfoot show and I really want to see it! It cracks me up, trying to find bigfoots. Your mom is awesome, I can’t get my mom to do any fitness with me. I’m almost done with your scarf!! It’s super soft, I’m having withdrawals knowing I’m shipping it to you and I’ll lose the softness forever.
