A rainy day

It’s been rainy for two days now, so this was the first thing that I was thinking about when I got up.  It was nice and hot!  Today it’s rained off and on all day, which is like taking a sleeping pill for me.  (Which I don’t take).   I turned my alarm off this morning and got another hour of sleep, so there was no morning workout.  On my workout schedule today?  Second week: Day 6 of BodyRock.

Sleeping in didn’t give me a whole lot fo time to get ready for work, but I still managed to get breakfast down.

On my lunch break today I thought that I would do the first part of the BodyRock workout.  I don’t have the timer that the bodyrockers use, so I used the timer on my iPhone.  I asked a co-worker to time me as she was eating her lunch.  🙂   Her name is Kayla and she is expecting, as you can see.  She also has a blog called, Family Love and Music, where she blogs about her life and the changes that pregnancy brings.

It was really funny watching her time me….Here she was, six months pregnant, all kicked back, eating her gumbo, listening to me grunt during my workout!  It was funny 🙂  Her name is Kayla and she also has a blog, called; Family Love and Music.  She blogs about her life and the new life that she and her husband are going to have when baby Evan comes along.

Post lunch-workout, I had a chicken wrap and it was oh so yummy.   It was definitely a nice change.

1 tbls spoon of shredded cheese

as much spinach that would fit 🙂

I put it in a toaster oven just to melt the cheese.  I don’t think I took a breath…;)

Part of the reason I did the first part of the workout on my lunch was because I was feeling sleepy!  It worked for a while, but after lunch, the feeling came back.  I blame the rain.  I was pretty excited when it was time to head home.  I even thought about skipping the second part of the BodyRock workout.  I did it.  It hurt.  A lot.  Let’s say there were some definite modifications.

I wanted to share some of the books that have made an impact on my life.  There is always something that speaks to me from a book, but then there are the ones that just scream out at you.  Inspire you.  Motivate you.

These are just some of them, but I just wanted to share.  I am going to wash my face, brush my teeth and get into my comfy clothes.  Hopefully, get into bed early.  🙂  Have a great night!

  1. okay, i luv how u got her to time u!!! hey, if u’ve only got a break to do ur workout figure out the logistics and get panting! 🙂 great job and have to say that lunch turned out yummy looking. 🙂

    Timing was a lot of fun, I didn’t watch her do her workout but it was wearing me out just listening to it. It was intense not having much time before moving on to the next move I’d be dizzy. My mom has two of those books the so long insecurities and radical she loves them too!! See you at work tomorrow!

  3. I’ve never tried body rock, but I want to! Good job for doing it on your lunch break and then finishing it even though you were tired! Thanks for the book suggestions too!

    • I love bodyrock! It really challenges me…and it’s free! All you do is go to their website and watch the video. They even do some modifications for beginners…:) The Beth Moore book changed me forever! Have a great day Andrea!
