Well, it’s not exactly my birthday today, but it is tomorrow! It’s funny, it really is just another day to me. I have had my 18th, my 21st, my 30th and my 35th….wow that’s a long time! Do I dare keep going??? So, how do you celebrate your 37th birthday? Hmmm? That would be the question.
I will share with you one of my favorite passages in the Bible:
For You formed my inward parts, You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. Psalm 139:13-16
Sure my birthday really is just another day, but according to this passage my birthday has a purpose. A plan. A hope. That in itself is really the best birthday gift of all.
Getting out of bed this morning was a little harder than I thought it was going to be. For some reason I ended up staying up last night until midnight and when my alarm went off at 5:15, it kinda hurt. Yes, I do have those days. :) So I said bye to the morning workout and just chilled out with my coffee and breakfast.
Thomas English Muffin, banana, almond butter and chia seeds.
Sunday I made the decision to not drink any iced coffee’s or mocha’s for a while. Not only are they loaded with unwanted, stick to your hips, calories, the caffeine can make me feel funny sometimes. And that’s funny/weird, not funny/ha ha. :) Anyway, I am 5 full days clean!! Lol…it’s the small things that make me happy.
Strawberry Dannon Greek Yogurt with some granola…..My favorite.
A few hours later I went for my Turkey/Provolone/spinach sandwich, one Clementine, and one Gluten-free cookie.
Gluten free granola bar……..sold at Wal-mart.
Random dinner. Leftover roasted potato’s, peas/carrots combo, two bbq baked chicken strips. As I was taking this picture, I made the decision right then and there to eat salads for dinner!
On my down time from studying, I have been catching up on old episodes of Beverly Hills 90210. Ahhh the good ole days….Brandon and Kelly, Kelly and Dylan, Donna and David. I had forgotten how much I really loved that show! Well, Donna and David got married yesterday and they started the episodes over. Holy cow were they that young!!?? Good times.
Well, I am out. Going to bed early tonight! :) I hope that you have a great night.
