Things I like and a to-do list

on April 12, 2012

What??!!  Is it really 7:00 pm!?  This day started at 4:30 for me.  Not sure what the deal was, but I woke up way to early for my liking.  Don’t get me wrong, I am a morning person all the way, but sheesh.  I tried really hard to go back to sleep, but I couldn’t do it.

What do you do in a situation like this??  You get up.  🙂   I got up and made me some coffee and was eating breakfast by 5:30, working out by 6:15 and walking out the door at 7:38.  🙂

Yes!!  Another morning workout!  10 Pounds Down 20 minute legs.  This is a killer 20 minutes!

I wanted to share some of the things that I am liking right now:

  1. Reading.  If you knew me, you would know that I really don’t gravitate to books.  Not that I don’t like them, it just really has to grab my attention for me to read it.  Last book that I read.  MockingJay.
  2. Color.  When I go shopping, I seem to go straight to the grays and blacks when it comes to clothes.  Lately, I am really liking color.  The brighter the better!
  3. Gavin Degraw.  Is he not adorable on Dancing with the Stars!?!
  4. Dancing.  Every morning I walk over the McDonald’s to get some coffee and well, lets just say the ladies there know my name, history, and social security number. 😉  Anyway, this week I have decided to dance for my coffee.  I get my grove on for a cup of joe. 🙂
  5. Jesus.  This actually should be number one and should say that I love Him.  For the last couple of years, I have really struggled with some things personally and spiritually.  Christ, in His awesome knowledge, doesn’t want to leave us the same as we were.  He wants to changes us into who He wants us to be.  It will always be a work in progress, but Jesus is the most important thing that I will ever have the knowledge of.
  6. Cottage cheese.  I have always like this, but lately I can’t get enough
  7. Dresses.  I am not a big dress person, but like any other girl, I like to feel pretty.
  8. Meal planning.  Oh! This one is so hard for me!  This week however, I have planned every meal and knew exactly what I was going to eat for the day.
  9. Tim Tebow.  What sport does he play again??  He has pretty teeth.  🙂
  10. Myself.  This is still a work in progress and will always have its ups and downs, but liking myself gives me a confidence that I didn’t know I had.

Gluten-free toast, nut butter, half a banana, and chia seeds

Mid-morning snack:

That turned into lunch:  Strawberries and cottage cheese with pecans.

Leftovers!  Chicken, quinoa, and roasted sweet potatoes.  I have been having smoothies all week, but tonight I wanted food.  I didn’t have an afternoon snack so I was pretty hungry.

It was an absolutely beautiful day!  The sun was out, there was a cool breeze.  Amazing.  🙂

To-do list:  I had a busy afternoon and had a major to-do list.

  1. Wal-mart
  2. Vet medicine for my cat Ghost (I had to drive to another town to get this)
  3. dust
  4. pay water bill
  5. clean closet
  6. wash car
  7. organize drawers in bedroom

As you can see, I got a lot accomplished, but didn’t manage to wash my car.  There is always the weekend!  I get to keep my niece and nephew this Saturday night!  I am pretty stoked about it too.

4/13/12 Meal plan:

Breakfast:  1 slice of GF toast, 1 slice of bacon and 1 organic egg

Snack:  strawberries

Lunch: Cottage cheese/almonds and a salad (romaine lettuce, broccoli, grapes, spinach, chicken)

Snack:  half a banana and some hot tea

Dinner:  Not sure yet, Girls night at my bf’s Angey!  Movie night!!  We will probably make smoothies.

Snack:  Dark chocolate

Peace out!

  4. I would be lost without to-do lists! They make me productive! And I LOVE that strawberries are in season right now…so yummy 🙂

I want to relike ALL of your likes – but especially reading! When my last paper is written (for this degree) I want to do nothing but read for weeks!

Wasn’t the Hunger Games trilogy ah-mazing?! I stayed up all night reading them! I live by to-do lists, though they’re usually overly ambitious. Like, 1. Get dressed. 2. Take over the world. 3. Write 14 blog posts. 4. Get a pedicure.

As you said, there’s always the weekend. 😉
