Fun little survey!

Morning!  It was so great to sleep in this morning!  I am enjoying a nice cup of coffee, cuddling with my lil man Ghost, and catching up on my DVR.  Lately I feel like I am chasing my tail!  I’ll be honest, having a full-time job, taking part in extracurricular activities, having quiet time, balancing a healthy lifestyle, and sleeping makes it difficult for me to blog like I want to.  Friday’s are so difficult for me.  I work 10 hours and then get home at 6:30, workout, and then eat dinner, getting in front of a computer is the last thing that I want to do.  Mainly because I have been at one all.day.long.

Ok!  Now that my pity party is out of the way!!  Here’s what I have planned today:

  1. drink another cup of coffee
  2. Get a workout in
  3. visit at least 3 of my favorite blogs
  4. take a shower
  5. drink another cup of coffee
  6. read a couple of chapters in the book that I am reading
  7. have some quiet time
  8. my parents are coming in today, so visit with them
  9. head to the highschool football field for Relay for Life
  10. Come back home
  11. Sleep

How about some fun!  I found this survey on one of my favorite blogs, The Run Within.  Thanks Alex!

 

1.  What did you eat for breakfast?  I haven’t eaten breakfast yet, but I plan on making a smoothie and enjoying some great coffee. 🙂

 

2.  How much water do you drink a day?  My goal is about 80 ounces a day, but there are some days that I only get about 60.

 

3.  What is your current favorite workout?  I love the Tabata style workouts!  They are hardcore and make me sweat a whole lot!  I love that they are really simple moves that really work every part of your body.

 

4.  How many calories do you eat a day?  You know, it just depends.  I don’t track my calories, but I do track my food.  For me to drop 10 pounds I think my range is going to be between 1200-1500 calories.

 

5.  What are your favorite healthy snacks?  Hmm, let’s see.  I love greek yogurt with granola, cottage cheese and almonds (or pecans), popcorn, clif bar, any kind of fruit, broccoli, kale chips…:)

 

6.  What do you usually eat for lunch?  I have been cooking up some pre-cooked meals as of late, the last lunch that I had was:

Roasted Sweet potatoes, brown rice/ quinoa mix with some roasted brussels sprouts

 

7.  What is your favorite body part to strength train?  I would have to say my arms.  With all of the cardio that I have been doing, this seems to have fallen by the way-side.  I do it once a week, but I am thinking that I need to incorporate another couple of days.

 

8.  What is your least favorite body part to strength train?  Anything that requires my  knees!  I really have pushed them over the years and sometimes they really bother me.  I also have some IT band issues on my left.  It really does suck getting older! 🙂

 

9.  What are your bad food cravings?  I can turn anything into an unhealthy snack.  But chocolate is a huge weakness of mine.  I think that if you are a woman, it usually is.  😉  Especially when you have your “visitor”.  I am here to tell you ladies, it only gets worse with age.

 

10.  Do you take vitamins or supplements?  I do!  I take a pro-biotic, Glucosamine, Centrum Pro-Nutrients Fruits and Veggies.  I can’t tell you how important it is for women (and men) to take vitamins.

 

11.  How often do you eat out?  Almost never.  I think that I probably only go out to eat on special occasions.  Wait, does Starbucks count???

 

12.  Do you eat fast food?  I can’t tell you the last time that I had a fast food burger, but I have eaten chicken nuggets.

 

13.  Who is your biggest supporter?  That would definitely be my family and friends.  Whenever I struggle, they are always there to lift me up.  I love them very much.

 

14.  Do you have a gym membership?  No I don’t.  Every time that I have had one, I always end up canceling it.  Not for any other reason than that I get bored with the equipment and there really isn’t a trained person on duty.  No personal trainer.

 

15.  How many hours of sleep do you get a night?  This one is so hard for me!  My goal?  Seven.  What I get?  maybe between 5 and 6.

 

16.  Do you have a cheat day?  No cheat day!

 

17.  Do you drink alcohol?  Not regularly, but I do enjoy one if I go out with friends.

 

18.  Do you have a workout buddy?  I don’t get to workout with my BF Angey all of the time, but she is my accountability partner in everything.  Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical.

 

19.  What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?  I think it would be this blog!  I waited months before I created this blog.  I just wanted to encourage people to make healthy changes in their lives and know that they are strong enough to do it.

 

20.  What was the last healthy thing that you did?  Hmm?  I made the decision to incorporate Visalus into my lifestyle.

  2. Fun survey! I might need to copy this for my blog 🙂 I love tabata workouts too and I always do pre-cooked meals for the week. Makes my life much easier.
