Can I have some more please…

Hey!   I hope that your day is going super!   I just wanted to stop in and say hello before I finished out my day and then headed to church.  I actually might have some time in between work and church to blog some more!!


It’s amazing how fast the day goes by and before you know it, you don’t have any daylight left.  Daylight is my favorite.  🙂  Lately, my blog content seems to be missing something.  I don’t have a set schedule as to when I can blog, so when I do get a chance to blog I feel like my posts are rushed and I am just throwing things out there to fill space.  Do you ever feel like that??  I read the best post over at Alex’s blog The Run Within that has to do with having time to blog.  🙂

My goal with this blog is to encourage people to live healthier lives and accountability in the spiritual and physical aspects of my life.

I guess with the rushing around, I feel lost as to what to post about, aaaand don’t want to get bored with just throwing random stuff on here.

I have still yet to write my Aha-Moment for the awesome ladies at the Fit Approach!!   That is on my agenda this weekend.


Yesterday’s Eats:


Smoothie!  I finished off my blueberries and added 1 banana, chia seeds, 1 tbsp of PB2, 1 packet of Visalus, almond milk, LARGE handful of spinach!




So last night after work, I headed over to Angey’s (BF) house to get a workout in and some dinner.  We had the best workout!!  Ever hear of Hip Hop Abs??  Holy cow this was an awesome workout!  I don’t think that I had enough calories yesterday, because toward the end of the workout I started to get a little light-headed.  Dinner??  Angey sautéed some kale in EVOO, added 1/2 cup of water and 1 cup of salsa and bam!  This stuff was amazing!  We also had about 4 oz of steak on the side.  For dessert we had some fresh strawberries with coolwhip.  This was a very good dinner!


Today’s Breakfast:

I wanted to give you a play by play of how I make my smoothies, so here goes:




First I add the frozen fruit: cherries and bananas.

Then I add the protein powder:  Vanilla Whey Protein powder.  To me, this doesn’t smell very good, but mixed in, it’s wonderful!



Chia seeds are then added for extra protein and fiber


For some chocolate flavor I add some carob powder, which is the vegetarian version of cocoa powder.




I add 1 cup of Almond milk



PB2!!   I normally add this earlier on, but I almost forgot!!



The final product!  Yum! 😉




I tried to get some blogging in on my lunch break……this did not happen.  I did however, enjoy a delicious Banana/Honey smoothie:  1/2 of a frozen banana, 1 packet of Visalus,  1 tbsp of honey, and 1 cup of Almond milk.


After work, I am going to head over to McD’s to use some of their free wi-fi 😉   So hopefully I will be back!



Some things that have been running thru my mind lately:

  1. I did my first run without undies… This was very invigorating!!  I didn’t know how much my underwear bugged me when I ran, until I ran without them!! (sorry guys!)
  2. I figured out that I can respond to some of my favorite blogs on my phone!  I have known this really, but never utilized it.  Yes I am a dork.  Oh well!
  3. I have mad dance skills!  I really didn’t know how much I missed Zumba and after doing the Hip Hop Abs workout last night, I am so excited to continue these dance cardio workouts!  And, I am excited to be doing it with a bunch of awesome ladies!
  4. I broke one of my Starbucks cups.  😦
  5. It’s ok to unplug every once in a while.
  6. I have exactly 30 days until I will be on the road to South Dakota with my brother and his family.  (Excited!!)
  7. I really do love bananas
  8. I really do stress out about silly stuff
  9. Stores really shouldn’t carry candy 😉
  10. I have been without tv for three days. My DVR broke.



This is a lot of strawberries!


I am out!  Have a great afternoon!

  1. Aw the shout out makes me smile! I am glad you could relate and write about it. You won me over though with that cool whip, hand me a spoon please? Also, from someone who runs a lot, I never wear undies. Yes you heard it right, I live in those built in running shorts. Freedom! Your randoms always make me smile!
