Behind Your Smile

on May 18, 2012

Sorry to be MIA the last couple of days, but I thought that I would take a break while I was sick to rest up.  I finally broke down and went to the dr today.  As much as I hate being sick, I hate going to the doctor even more.  I really didn’t want to spend 5 minutes with a someone and pay $25 to do it.  Then there’s the meds.  I can barely take my vitamins!!

When I finally ended up having breakfast this morning, I made a new smoothie

Blueberry Pie:

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup of frozen blueberries
  • 2 scoops of Visalus
  • 1 cup of Almond milk
  • 2 tbsp of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 tsp vanilla abstract
  • 2 ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

Cherry Orange Delight:

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup of dark frozen cherries
  • 1/2 cup of orange juice
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 2 scoops of Visalus
  • 2 ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

Here’s another smoothie recipe:

Cranberry Dreams:

  • 1/2 cup of Cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup of Almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 scoops of Visalus
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

So I am up to season 5 of Desperate Housewives.  It really is a guilty pleasure.  🙂  Anyway, one of the episodes Season 4 got me to thinking.  It focused on people’s smile.  Smiles can hide so much, or be a window into someones soul.  Smiles can express elation, but can also hide pain.  Do you smile when you first meet someone?  When your nervous, do you smile?  When you encourage someone, is there a smile behind it?  Ever get embarrassed?  I love the smile behind an embarrassing moment.

A smile can make someone relax.

A smile can put someones nerves at ease.

A smile can encourage a friend.

A smile can turn a “no” into “yes”

A smile can lead to infectious laughter.

A smile can open a lonely heart.

See you tomorrow!

I definitely smile when nervous. I smile whenever I don’t know what to do / say too! Great smoothies here – and I hope the doctor was helpful at least.
