Can I get a Friday!?

Morning all!  Yay, it’s Friday!!    I am kind of sad that I don’t get to end my nights with the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s.  I don’t know if you were able to watch this little mini-series that came on the History channel, but it was really good!!

I am having to do my Insanity Pure Cardio workout this morning because I am meeting a friend after work today.  As for yesterday’s work out, it was a recovery day.  Holy cow!  There were no fast cardio moves, but lots of stretching, slow-moving squats and lunges, and balancing moves.  There were a couple of times that I had to stop and shake my quads out or risk a massive cramp!  Crazy!  I did love it though!


This truly has humbling learning how much my body can and can’t take.  I say can’t, but I know that I am working up to it.


Thursday Eats:


I went with an english muffin, 1 egg, 1 slice of provolone cheese, and some spinach.  This always hits the spot!




I still have some of my cole slaw salad mix, so I had some of it and a ham sandwich on a flat-out.



Afternoon snack:

Still digging the cottage cheese, but this time I added some fresh pineapples!  🙂


Dinner was a chicken quesadilla, with spinach, provolone cheese and spicy taco sauce.  Yum!  No picture because I was too hungry to remember to take one!

I have my lunch all ready to go, for tomorrow…..There is nothing worse than staring at the fridge and not knowing what to take!   Planning ahead always relieves some stress!


I’ll have to admit, I started this post last night.  Yes, I have learned that starting my posts at night, or even finishing them, helps me to be able to post every day, aaaaand if I don’t finish the post, I don’t feel so bad.  🙂

Anyway, I just finished the Pure Cardio and Holy Lord!! There are NO rests, I repeat, NO RESTS.  Now, you can take one when needed, but man oh man I thought I was going to puke.  I started to get really hard on myself when I wasn’t able to finish, but I just shook that off and started again.  I think that things like that have a tendency to have a negative impact on our healthy lifestyles as opposed to a positive one.



Cherry/Banana Smoothie:

  • 1/3 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen cherries
  • 1 tsp of chia seeds
  • 2 scoops Visalus
  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 1 cup Almond milk

Crazy Good!


I got to run and get a shower!!  And another cup of coffee….;)  Hope you guys have a great day!
