Morning Friends!! How was your night? Sleep well?? Let’s back up a couple of days….I can’t believe it’s August! Holy Cow, where has the year gone?? I can’t believe that there are only 5 months left in the year. Pretty soon we will be shopping for Christmas gifts!
I am your strength and shield. I plan out each day and have it ready for you, long before you arise from bed.
So I have been thinking about some goals that I would like to set for myself. I wanted them to be realistic and something that I could and will reach. It’s funny, I am so goal oriented and task oriented at work, but sometimes I fly by the seat of my pants when I am not at work. :) This can be a good thing, but it can also mean that some of the goals that I make for myself get swept under the rug. I don’t want to do that!
- Push-up challenge. I started this challenge a few days ago and I want to keep doing it. I started with 10 push-ups and each day I add one more. I am up to 17. This is not a lot, but I want to do them correctly, not just rush through them.
- Carbs. I really want to watch my carb intake. More specifically, simple carbs.
- Continue to build endurance when it comes to running. To be honest, I never thought in a million years that I could whip out 4 miles!
- Yoga. Still continue to increase my flexibility and take care of my muscles.
These are things that I have been working on for a bit now, but just wanted to write them down. :) Looking at the list, it doesn’t seem like a whole lot, but that is ok with me. 🙂
Breakfast: egg/turkey bacon/toast
snack: protein bar or greek yogurt
Lunch: turkey burger (minus the bun) with spinach and provolone cheese/steamed broccoli
Dinner: dinner out
Snack: probably not have one
After work tonight, I am meeting a friend and we are going out to eat and then to a movie! Step Up Revolution. Can’t wait!!
