This Beautiful Life

on August 5, 2012

Just wanted to pop in and say that I hope your weekend has been a great one.  Mine has been super busy and I am feeling a little tired and weary.  It’s raining right now and that is a wonderful thing.  We are in the middle of a burn ban where I live and this rain will still not lift it.  We have been without for a while now.  I am just enjoying listening to it.  It’s also thundering and lightening, which I don’t like, but I’ll take the rain any way I can get it.

After church this morning, I ran over to a friend’s house (Diahann) to dry some clothes….Man I can’t wait for a new dryer.  🙂  We watched a couple of Hoarding: Buried Alive episodes and then I left.

Saturday was a busy busy day!  We had a  block party at my church:  Just a note…I promise, we do feed my nephew in the picture.  🙂

We had the best time!  We ate, we laughed, we loved on the kids, we handed out school supplies, and we told them about Jesus.

My friend’s wedding (Kristen) was Saturday night, so I rushed home to take care of a few things, took another shower and I met my boss so we could ride together.  It was such a beautiful wedding!!!  The ceremony was very simple, but SO elegant!

Dad walking Kristen down the aisle and then Drew walking her out as his bride!

I had a piece of the grooms cake and it was divine.  🙂

This morning as I was reading my bible I had a little company…

I see you!

My friend Diahann, who is letting me us her dryer, has the coolest cat.  Well, besides mine that is.   His name is Potter and every time I come over he always has to smell me down before he will let me pet him.

One thing that I did get accomplished today was getting my banana’s ready to freeze…:)

Life is such a beautiful thing.  Everyone’s.  On my way home last night I got a call from my dad telling me something so tragic.  At that moment I was reminded of how beautiful life is and how precious it is.  But in an instant, it can be over.  That is why it’s so important for us to love each other.  To be kind.  To lift up.  To encourage.  To remind each other that we are stronger than we think we are.

Love on the people who you have close to you.

I hope you have a great night 🙂

  1. Rain is always a great way to kind of relax and chill out after a crazy weekend. Looks like a blast though!
