Grateful Monday’s!

on August 6, 2012

It’s that time again……Grateful Monday!   I really like doing this on Monday’s because I think the beginning of the week has a bad wrap.  Sure it can be hectic, but it can also be great too!   I am having a bout of Vertigo today so bear with me…..this post may be extremely random.

When I went to bed last night I kind of felt a little off.  I wanted to run yesterday, but couldn’t even do that.  Ugh.  I felt tired, loopy, and sick to my tummy.  Little did I know that when I woke up this morning I wouldn’t be able to walk straight.  Double Ugh.  I had set my alarm for my normal time and tried and tried to get started so that I could go into work.  It was just a half day for me, so I was going to tough it out.  Didn’t happen.  I hated to call my boss, but standing up right wasn’t working for me at all.  Standing up right is a must at my job.  🙂

After I got off the phone with my boss, I went back to bed and slept for another few hours and didn’t get up until 11.  I did feel better when I got up, but still feel off a bit.  The sad thing with Vertigo is that you really can’t do anything about it.  I just have to ride it out.  Which takes a lot of patience, of which I have zero.  :/

Sometimes I can function with it, but then there are other times that I am bed-bound.

Grateful Monday:

  • An understanding boss
  • rest
  • new/old friends (I have new friends in my life and hanging out with old friends…this I am so grateful for)
  • rain (something that we FINALLY got)
  • forgiveness

I am so thankful that God has brought some new friends into my life.  I feel like I am getting out and doing more!  Something that is kind of hard for me to do.  I would love to be this hermit, but I am glad that I have friends that like to be out.  I have gotten in touch with an old friend, made new ones, and gotten to know some special ladies at my church.

Forgiveness is such a hard thing for people to do.  For some however, it may not be hard to forgive.  I know only from experience that hanging on to things can cause bitterness and anger.  It can keep you from being productive and it can limit your circle of friends.  I so glad that forgiving someone and asking for forgiveness is easy and difficult.  When I think of getting out of my comfort zone, I always think of something physical.  But really, it can be with anything.  Seeking forgiveness can be (and is) difficult, but in the long run it is a beautiful thing.

I thought this was hilarious!

What are you grateful for today??

  1. I hope you feel better, that is the worst way to start a Monday! I am sorry lovely! Feel better.

  2. I love that you are able to find things to be grateful for even when you’re not having the best day! Also, that conversation is pretty funny 🙂

  3. This is a great list 🙂 I have a hermit streak too so I understand the importance of pushing yourself to be more social – it is very worthwhile!
