New week, new book!

on August 21, 2012

Morning!  How are you this morning?!  I hope you are doing well and have started your week off with a smile.  I took a couple of days to unplug for a bit and that was nice.  😉

I had a pretty busy weekend!  To be honest, Saturday was a blur, but I enjoyed every minute of it.  I got up pretty early to get started on painting my room and actually didn’t get finished before I had to head into town to pick up a couple of things.  I can’t tell you how different my bedroom looks!  I am going to put up a before and after picture soon!

The concert at my church went so well!!  Devin Williams and his band came from Nashville to play at our church and we had such a blast.  He and his band are a great group of guys and I don’t think my brother would mind if I post this picture.  🙂

Great group of guys who loves the Lord!  (Devin is in the black shirt)

I didn’t get home Saturday night until 11:00 p.m. and was pretty wired, but managed to crawl into bed.  Even on the weekend, I normally try to stick to my “getting up early” schedule, but I slept in until 7:30.  This would have been great, but it kinda put me behind just a bit…… 🙂  I met some ladies at 9:00 for prayer, and then for the next couple of hours (and that night) took part in Hope and Help: In tough Economic Times session.

Yesterday, when I got up, I felt pretty beat.  When I started my day, I was going to have to work 8:15 until 6:00 with no lunch break.  By 10:15, I ended up getting a lunch and being able to jet at 5:00!  My boss was going to take a day off, but ended up coming in instead.  I’ll take it!!  🙂

After work, I headed over to my friend’s house to use the treadmill.  I did a quick 2.2 miles and then went on home.  On one of the blogs that I read, Peanut Butter Fingers, I saw a couple of books that I wanted to try out.  Julie had posted some recommendations and it led me to a great book by Veronica Roth called Divergent.  Oh my word!!!  If you like Hunger Games, you will love this.  I started it yesterday and I am nearly finished.

I can’t wait to finish this and move onto the next book!!  Insurgent
