Lets go to Asia!

on November 3, 2012

Since the last time we spoke I have been to several different countries.  Didn’t know that I was super fast did ya?

While I was at work today, I got an e-mail from a friend of mine asking if I wanted to join her on an outing.  Sure!  She was going to this Asian Food Tasting and she wanted to know if I would go with her.  I really do like other cultures, so it was really interesting.

We actually had a little trouble finding the place and was pretty tickled that we kept getting lost.  Lol!  She was driving and I am not really that great with directions so you can imagine.  When we finally got there, we headed straight in….

Everyone was pretty nice at each booth and we had fun chatting them up…

Each culture was represented in a performance of dance 🙂

One of our local weather guys was there!!  (Blue jeans and blue shirt)

I think that my favorite performance was by the husband and wife team from Indonesia.

They lived near where the tsunami hit and this dance represented hope and blessings to all.

My friends mom is Korean and so we stopped by the Korean store so she could pick up a few things..

On my way home this afternoon I ran into some storm clouds and it has since started to rain.

Workout:

My plan was to run when I got home from work, but since I had the outing with my friend I had to move it back to later this afternoon…

3 Miles

Mile One:    9.14

Mile Two:    9.12

Mile Three:    9.08

Total Time:    27:33

Average Pace:    9.11

I didn’t feel my greatest on this run, but it was ok.  This is why I love getting up in the morning and running first thing!  🙂

Have a great night!!

I love Korean food – especially Bibimbap. Have you tried making that?
