short run, hurts so good

on November 6, 2012

Well how in the world are you?  My Tuesday was much better than my Monday.  Not that Monday was an actual bad day, it was just super busy.  My boss had a managers meeting today, so I was at work from 8:00 to 6:00 today.  Long day, but not too bad.

When I got up this morning I had all intentions of running, but never did make it to the treadmill.  I got up in time, but just felt like I needed the rest.  When I got home from work just now, I jumped on the mill and ran!  On today’s schedule was two miles….

Two Miles

Mile One:    9.06

Mile Two:    8.54

Total Time:    18:03

Average Pace:    9.01

Can I tell you something?  Sometimes I find these short runs harder than the long runs.  I don’t exactly know why, but I do.  Smile  Sounds crazy huh??

Once I was finished, I did some stretching and showered up!

I got to work this morning and did my usual routine and then around 10:30 I wanted a snack:

1 cup of blueberry shredded wheat and some 2 % milk

half and apple, pumpkin yogurt, and chicken salad on one slice of whole wheat bread

About 3:03 Laughing out loud  my tummy was making some noise…

Sweet potato wedges, bbq chicken, and peas and carrots.

So I am really enjoying Windows Live Writer.  How in the world have I been blogging without it ALL of this time???

Tomorrow is Wednesday.  Hump Day.  I only have to get through three more days and then I am off for five whole days!  I don’t know if I told you or not, but my brother and his family are going hiking early Saturday morning and I am going to tag along.  I can’t wait!  Hiking is probably one of my most favorite things to do.  The weather is supposed to be really great too!  Being outside and being with family is always a super cool thing.

Did you vote today???   Don’t forget!

Have a great night and I will catch ya tomorrow!

  1. You guys have pumpkin yoghurt?? Wow 🙂

That is great that you get to go hiking next week – being outside and with family is definitely a great thing. I’ll look forward to your pictures too 🙂

  2. Short runs usually hurt more for me too, because they are higher intensity. It does get easier!
