Cats play at night.

on November 7, 2012

Morning!   How was your night??  Sometime in the middle of the night, the cats decided to have a rumble in the house.  Let’s say it was 3:00 am.  Ghost, my cat slept in my room last night and I guess he wanted some attention, because he kept we awake from 3:00 to about the time that I got up.  Tired.  Sleepy.  Ugh.

Little turd.

What do you guys have on your schedule today?  I am thinking that I need to pick up some fruit at the grocery store.  Smile

So today’s schedule has a 4 mile run on it and for the first time in a long while I don’t feel like running today.  I don’t know if it has anything to do with not having a whole lot of sleep last night (I am sure it does) but the thought of running makes me feel even more tired.  I am also having a slight twinge on the top of my left foot that just started this morning.

Here’s the very cool thing about having a running coach.  I am going to e-mail Cait to see what she wants me to do.  Two things are going to happen.  I will either run or not run.  I feel slightly guilty for not wanting to run because I don’t want to mess up my schedule or training.  I mean I feel really bad about feeling this way.

For those of you who run, do you or have you ever felt this way when it comes to your schedule or training??

I am also going to see how I feel when I come home from work.

So the results of the election came in this morning, or last night while we were all in bed.  I am not one to force my political opinions on someone or really even get into a conversation with someone about it.  I take several things into consideration before I cast my vote and I also pray about it.  I will tell you that the end result was not what I wanted and my reasons are my own, but I do know that God is ultimately in control.

One of the most frustrating things for me during this election was that I had close friends who didn’t even bother to exercise their right to vote.  I really do question the motives of the American people and what they want for the future of our country.  My two cents, take it or leave it at the door.

21 Day Challenge Day 7:

Sit by yourself for 5 minutes in complete silence.  No cell phone.  No tv.  No one else around.

I hope you guys make today great!!

  1. so smart on playing the running by ear, maybe you just need a little break. lack of sleep is always a tough one. have a good day!

  2. I definitely have days where I just don’t want to run…and by running I would probably just be putting myself at risk for injury since my head’s not in the game!

  3. Laura says:

Listen to your body – it you physically need a break take it, especially if you didn’t get enough sleep!
