Peaceful Morning

on November 21, 2012

Good Morning!   Thank goodness it’s Wednesday!   We just have to get through this day and then it’s Thanksgiving!!  I am so excited to see my family.  Smile   My Aunt and Uncle from Mississippi are here and I am so excited about that too!  Mostly because my mom gets to spend a holiday with one of her sisters.  It’s going to be a good day!

This morning I read a devotional and I wanted to share it with you:

I am above all things: your problems, your pain, and the swirling events in this ever-changing world.  When you behold My Face, you rise above circumstances and rest with Me in heavenly realms.  This is the way of Peace, living in the Lights of My Presence.  I guarantee that you will always have problems in this life, but they must not become your focus.  When you feel yourself sinking in the sea of circumstances, say “Help me, Jesus!” and I will draw you back to Me.  If you have to say that thousands of times daily, don’t be discouraged.  I know your weakness, and I meet you in that very place.

I don’t know about you, but during the holidays my priorities might get off track and I start to focus on other things.  I might even become more sensitive and wear my feelings on my sleeve more than usual.  I might even get even more scattered in my thoughts.  It’s nice to know that I have a place to go.  A place where there is peace and calamity.

One clementine, oatmeal with almond butter, and coffee.

Last night I opted for rest.  On the schedule was a two mile run, but I think I coughed a lung up at work yesterday and then by the time that I got home I felt horrible.  I took some meds and got into bed.  I continued to cough and thought it was going to keep me up all night, but I finally went to sleep last night.

I do feel much better this morning, in fact I am going to run.  Still have a cough, so we will see what happens.

On the schedule today?  A 4 mile speed drill.  Smile

I got up at 5:15 this morning, so it’s been a peaceful and relaxing morning.  Smile

I hope you guys have a great day!
