Hey You Guys!

on January 2, 2013

Hello my friends Smile     Has your Wednesday turned out to be what you wanted it to be?   My days really do just fly by since I started working at a different location.  I mean zoom!  I will say this, my co-workers have all decided to eat healthier and I couldn’t be more excited about this.  This means lots of healthy eats around the work place instead of cakes and cookies.

I have an orthodontist appointment tomorrow, so I will be leaving work around 12:30.  If you have been following my blog, or if you are new (welcome!), I have been going through the process of getting braces and I think we are about to see metal!!  I have been wearing this mouth guard for about six months now, so I am hoping that we are going to make an appointment to get my braces on.  I am so ready!

Lunch today went by pretty fast, but it was nice to get back to my book reading on my breaks.  Ahh, I love reading.

So yesterday was the first day in the 31 Days of Gratitude Challenge and the first thing that I was grateful for ended up being my brother.

I know that any time that I needed to talk, he would be there.  Yesterday, I was reminded that friendships in my life have changed in the last year and I needed to talk to him.  You see, my brother is also one of the deacons at my church.  I called  him and told him that I just wanted to talk.  I didn’t need him to fix anything or try and come up with a solution.  I just needed  him to listen.  I know that advice that he gives me will always be biblically based.

I can remember growing up and always wanting to play with my brother and his friends.  Remember the (I think it was McDonald’s) french fry commercial of the boy and his little sister.  She was always following him and then at the end he gives  her one.  Smile

My brother and I can also be these really big movie nerds with each other.  We really have our own language when we are talking about any kind of movie.  I am so excited that my brother is a Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fan… I always have someone to talk to about it!  There are some times we get to giggling and laughing so hard…..  I laugh just thinking about it.

Both he and my sister-n-law Lynn have been there for me in so many ways.  I love them both very much.

He also has these two kiddo’s that I adore….

So there you have it, my first item of gratitude goes to my big brother.  Smile

I hope you have a great night!

That is a wonderful thing/person to have gratitude for! My younger brother and i are getting closer as we get older, which makes me very happy. Haven’t always seen eye to eye on things, but i do know he’s always got my back. Getting closer just makes that even better 🙂
