I love lists

on April 16, 2013

I really do.  What I really love is having a place that I can make my lists publicly known!  Smile    I have a half day today and I am pretty excited about it to say the least.  I have so much stuff to do today I just hope that I don’t run out of time!

  • Drop off some items at a consignment shop
  • dig out my summer clothes!
  • stop by the store for yet again forgotten items from the last time I was there (eggs, spinach, bananas, hair spray, cat liter)
  • write a letter
  • work out
  • get my oil changed
  • search out a new book to read
  • go pick up some Apple Cider Vinegar
  • go see my friend about cleaning her house
  • I also need to figure out if I am going to pay someone to mow the grass…..and if I do, I need to decide who that should be!

I am sure there is something else that I need to do, but I just can’t think of it right now.

I had been praying about looking for some houses to clean just so that I could stick that money back into my savings account and a couple of days ago I got a call from a friend of mine who is pregnant and needs some help cleaning.  See, they are also in the process of selling their home and would like it to be clean when they show it.  She is in her last trimester and can’t do the things that she used to do….I told her that I would think about it because I just wasn’t sure if I would have the time, but you know what….??  I do have the time to help a friend..  So, I am going to call her today and tell her that I can do it.

I don’t need the money, but who couldn’t use it right??  With the money that I already am putting into my savings account, I will just add this to it!

Boston:

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and people that were affected by the explosion in Boston yesterday.  It’s just something that is so sad and I can’t even imagine going through something like that.

I also had a good friends husband die yesterday….  My prayers go out to her and her family.  One of the things that I have learned through this is that it is good to have a Living Will.  I just don’t think that I would want my family to be the one to make the decision to turn off the machines that were keeping me alive.  That is just a burden I don’t want them to bare.

Devotion:

I am training you in steadiness.  Too many things interrupt your awareness of Me.  I know that you live in a world of sight and sound, but you must not be a slave to those stimuli.  Awareness of Me can continue in all circumstances, no matter what happens.  This is the steadiness I desire for you.

Don’t let unexpected events throw you off course.  Rather, respond calmly and confidently, remembering that I am with you.  As soon as something grabs your attention, talk with Me about it.  Thus I share your joys and your problems; I help you cope with whatever is before you.  This is how I live in you and work through you.  This is the of Peace.

Just something that I wanted to share with you!

I am off to get ready for work……have a great day!

I really love that devotional. That is so fitting for the current events this week. What book is that from?
