Four Days

on June 3, 2013

Okay, so it’s Monday.  I’m sleepy and pretty tired.  It’s also the third of the month.  Your friendly bankers busiest day.  I also have a sore throat and a headache.  I will not get sick. I will not get sick. I will not get sick.  I think I am getting sick.

My weekend just seem to fly by.  After work Saturday, I headed to the grocery store to pick up a few things and then headed home.  I just wanted to take a nap.  I watched a couple of episodes of Downton Abbey (I am now up to Season Three!)  and then started on a new recipe.  I also got ready for our Youth Movie night at our church.  It ended up being mostly adults and so we changed the movie to a more adult led film.  It was over sometime close to 9:00 and so I headed home in the rain and went to bed.

Did I go to sleep?  I wish.

My left IT Band and knee are giving me fits for some reason.  I tossed until 12:30 and then got up to take some Tylenol.  It helped and allowed me to sleep the rest of the night, but whew I was tired when I got up.  At church we had a brunch to bring in the new Sunday School year.  It’s the time when the kiddo’s move up to their next level.  I teach the first, second and third grade, so if you are going to be in the fourth grade you get to go to the next level.

Good times.

After church, I headed over to a nearby town to meet a new friend.  Taking risks people, Taking risks.  I cried on the way home.  Another story.

From there, I went straight to church.  Some place I just desire to be right now.  My family.

I found this blog called She Reads Truth and I just love it.  They recently did this study on the book of Nehemiah and so I thought that I would go through it.  They have already started a new bible study and I am only on day six of this one, but I can’t tell you how much love it.  It’s been a wonderful experience so far.

Four Days.

This is how long I have to prepare for my trip this coming weekend.  Four days.  One of the main things that I am going to get accomplished is an oil change.  A must.

How do you pack for a trip to the beach??  Nikki, do you have any suggestions??  Smile

My goal is to be packed by Thursday so that I could just get up Friday morning and hit the road.  Will I get this accomplished?  Oh Lord, I hope so.

I’m tired, but happy to be awake and breathing.  Smile

  1. Bathing suits galore! And make sure you have warm clothing, too, in case it’s chilly! Don’t forget your sunscreen! 🙂

Ahh summer colds are awful 😦 I’m fighting one right now and it’s pretty miserable…feeling slightly better today though so hopefully almost back to normal tomorrow! I’m a horrible packer….i always wait until the night before we’re going somewhere and then throw everything i own in a suitcase because i can’t make decisions and need to know that i’ll have options,…ridiculous, i know haha. I’m so psyched that you’re going to the beach sooo soon! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the ocean 🙂

  3. I always over pack and just bring a bunch of tops and bottoms, plus 1-2 dressy outfits! Good luck on your packing!

  4. I would just pack lots of swim suits and some flip flops. I don’t think you will need that much.
