Work Out Routine Love

So I am ready to get on a normal workout routine again!  I really love the Les Mills Pump series so I am going to go back to what I love.

Monday:    Pump Challenge/25 minutes

Tuesday:    30 minute run

Wednesday:    Pump Challenge/25 minutes

Thursday:    20 minute yoga/45 minute run

Friday:    Pump Challenge/25 minutes

Saturday:    20 minute ab routine/45 minute run

Sunday:    rest

I am such a creature of habit and so Les Mills Pump really does work for me.  In the past, I have been so guilty of just jumping from program to program not really giving my body time to adjust to them.

I think what I like most about Pump is that I feel strong and fit……It’s not something I am doing to be skinny, which I will never be.

The other day I went to Whole Foods to pick up a couple of things and found these little jewels…

It was a great snack after my run yesterday!

I’m off to get ready for work!  Have a great day!

A good ending

Morning!  How are you this morning??   I’m currently nursing my first cup of coffee and can’t wait for my second Winking smile   Yesterday I was off and just had the best day.  It was yet again rainy and gloomy, but that was ok!  For some reason though, I woke up at 4:00…..agh…..  instead of trying to go back to sleep, I just got up and started my day.  I did my normal routine and even got my workout in.  I had taken a break from doing any form of working out, but was really excited to get back into some sort of routine.  It felt good to sweat!

By 7:00 I was sleepy…lol, so what did I do??   Well I got back into bed like any normal person!  I think I might have slept until 9:00 and then I headed into town to run some errands.  Namely, get some make-up… that stuff is expensive!

Anyway, the place didn’t open until 10:00 so I killed the 15 minutes that I had to wait by texting some friends and reading a magazine.

My niece and sister-n-law have been sick so I sent her a message thinking that they would be home yesterday and sure enough they were.  I went on over and chilled out with them until 1:15 or so….

Today??   Well, I have an early day (off at noon) and I will be doing some things around the house.  I might watch a movie….still unsure.  Smile    Still trying to talk myself into watch The Conjuring…..Eeeeek!!

Last weekend, a friend of mine and I went to this really cool place to eat…. The Faded Rose….  It was cool outside, but we toughed it out!  Holy cow this place was nice and the food was great!!

Have you tried this?   It’s not too sweet, which I like, but it’s really good!

Yesterday I was thinking about how sometimes we can have things in our lives that just aren’t good.  Even friendships and relationships.  I was thinking about a certain friendship that I have that I needed to end, but wasn’t sure if I had the courage to do so.

The moment I knew it was the right thing to do, I saw this:

cool huh?

I am off to get ready for work guys, I hope you have an amazing day!

Finding Joy

Morning!!   How are you this Sunday morning!    It’s gloomy outside and there are dishes in the sink and the floor needs to be swept, but I’m okay with not doing it just yet.   One of the things that has been on my mind as of late is finding joy.  Sometimes and somewhere along the way I think that we forget that it’s mainly in the small things that we find joy.  Oh yeah, it’s in the big things, but I believe that in the small things we can find an amazing amount of joy.

A field of wild flowers

Beautiful fall days

Cookies baking

Your favorite pair of jeans

A smile from a stranger

Reading your favorite passage in the Bible

Small things.

Last night I met up with a good friend of mine and we went to one of my favorite places to eat..

Love this place!

This is actually an older shot, but it’s the friend I met up with!  Hey Dona!

We chatted about girl stuff and we chatted about funny stuff.  The funny thing is that this couple was setting next to us and I kept thinking that they looked so familiar!  And wouldn’t you know it…’s a small world!  His name was Nick and he used to do the courier work for one of our branches that I worked at!  How cool is that??  It was nice to catch up and see what he and his wife have been up to.  The last time I saw him, they weren’t married and had zero children.  Now?  Married and three kiddo’s!

Small things.

I came home and basically just crashed.  There is nothing like getting into your pj’s and just chilling in front of the tv.  I also had some amazing sleep last night!  Smile

This morning I am meeting an old, dear friend of mine for church.  I have been praying about finding another church to attend and so I text her and asked her if I could meet her at her church.  I’m pretty excited about it!  Will I start going to her church?  I don’t know, but going to another church is a huge step for me.  One of the struggles that I have been dealing with is leaving my current church family.

I can’t wait to go and worship with my friend!

I hope that you find joy in the small things today!

Long time no post!

Good Morning friends Smile    It’s been a while!  There have been many mornings that I wanted to get my computer out and type of a post, but just felt like I couldn’t.  It’s funny, even as I set here writing this, I am not sure how to start or what to say.

As I drink my coffee this morning, I think about the seasons that we go through and experience.  Sometimes they take just days and sometimes they can take months or even years.  Sometimes, it’s okay to just take one day at a time.

So what have I been up to lately??

Well, I took a mini vacation to see my best friend in Ohio and had the best time.  I was able to see a part of Ohio that was just plain beautiful.  The leaves were starting to turn and the weather was perfect.

She doesn’t like her picture to be taken….. I don’t know why she is beautiful!  But I did manage to sneak this one in while she was driving.  In this shot, she had just picked me up at the airport.  I flew in to Chicago and then it was on to Cleveland.  My flight from Chicago to Cleveland was really short!  I think that I was only up in the air for like 55 minutes.

Seeing my best friend was like being home for me and immediately felt at ease and relaxed.  After a couple of months of stressful days at work, it was nice to just get away and be on vacation.  Her husbands family is from there and it was so nice to see them again.  When I walked into the house, it felt like I had not left Arkansas.  It was just nice to see everyone.

This view was right across the street from the house that I was staying at…

Lake Erie was right down the road too!

It was beautiful and calming to see.

I really think there was like 6 Starbucks nearby and of course, we had to at least go into one…

There was lots of coffee!

The Pumpkin Spice from Dunkin Donuts is amazing…

Before I came to see her, she made plans to take me to places that I didn’t have access to being here in Arkansas….. Trader Joe’s was on the top of the list.

It was really nice…. and the fact that there was no grocery tax was even better.  I picked up a couple of things and couldn’t wait to try them!

There was this really cool unfinished castle nearby, so we went on over to check it out and it’s the coolest thing!!

My friends son Calvin Smile

I really did have the best time and can’t wait to go back again.  I miss my friend terribly and it was so good to just hang out with her and talk to her face to face.

We are still going through a merger and interviews are being conducted, but I am at peace with whatever the outcome.  We should know by the end of November or mid December if the new company is going to retain us as employees.

I have some unused vacation days, so I am off the next few days….. until Tuesday.  I am going to just enjoy the beautiful weather and do some cleaning.  My closet is a hot mess as you can imagine with the weather change.  It’s colder, but not cold enough for winter clothes.  I mean I am still sporting flip flops!

I am also going to do some things outside and just enjoy the day.

There is also a Harvest Party tonight that I am going to check out and then meet up with a friend for dinner.

I hope you have an amazing day and that you take time to smile at yourself today.  Smile

Still Here

Good Morning my friends!  How are you?   I know it’s been a while since I last posted, but I took a much needed break to take care of myself.  I think there were days that I didn’t even turn my computer on!  I would start looking around some of my favorite blogs and then just turn it off.  There were even a couple of times that I started a post, but quickly just closed it out.

I just kind of needed to take a break and work on some things.  And that’s ok.

I actually am starting my vacation today!  I am off today and then I fly out tomorrow to see my best friend in Ohio.  I am so excited!!  I saw her in April, but that was too long ago.

I can’t wait to stay up all night and eat chocolate and get some much needed girl talk in!

Things at work are still forging along….. I am still not sure if they are going to retain me, but we should know something by the end of December.  It’s just one of those wait and see situations.

Playing soccer is tough!

A good friend of mine from church (Gale) and I went to the Chris Tomlin/Louie Giglio concert last week and had the best time.

I just wanted to pop in and tell you that I was still here and that I am okay.  Smile   I am about to get my workout in and start my day!

I hope you have an amazing day!
