Getting back to normal… oh and cookies!

Well I don’t know about you, but I am so glad that the holidays are over…..  Seeing family and friends and doing cool stuff was lots of fun, but I am excited to get back to some sort of normalcy.  What about you?  Did you have a great Christmas?

Yesterday I think I spent most of the day just laying around.  I got up, ate breakfast (with coffee of course) and then watched some tv for a bit and then started taking down decorations.  Oh the tree is till up, but I just wanted to get all of the other stuff down.  I will probably leave the tree up until after New Years, but then it’s coming down. 

My brother and I went to see the new Hobbit movie, which put me in the mood to watch the Lord of the Rings.  Classic. 

If you haven’t seen it, Peter Jackson does not disappoint. 

 

I am ready for the sweets and candy to leave the house and to get back to some sort of routine eating.  I’m going to the store in a bit to stock up on some veggies and some fruit.  I have been a cookie making machine since the Fall season started so I’m going to take a break from making them.  Sad really.  I love cookies.  Winking smile

There have been lots of cookies! 

 

My workouts the last few months have been sporadic at best.  I would go days and not work out and then get one in and just feel like I had to start all over.  This made me not want to continue so I would go more days without working out.  That’s gotten better, but I’m still not on a set schedule of work outs.  Mainly due to work and feeling the need to take a break from it all.

  3. My diet has consisted of mostly cookies and salads for the past four weeks. I can’t even begin to count the number I’d consume on a daily basis (I’m talking 10-20 about 3-4x a week.) OUT OF CONTROL. Looking back I wish I would’ve had a bit more restraint. It did cause me to gain a bit of weight and I just felt sluggish for most of the month; however, with it being the holidays, I’m trying not to remain so guilty and just move on (once I get back from NYC, of course 😉 ) at the start of the new year. Yes – I didn’t eat cookies in the way that I should’ve but no – I shouldn’t dwell upon that fact. I should just change it for the next holiday season.

    PS – All of your cookies look SO good. Why do they have to look so good? I swear, that’s half of the appeal (the other half is the oh so good smell of fresh baked cookies 😀 )

    • Thank you girl! I love baking so much. In fact, I wish that I could open my own bakery. Oh this holiday season was filled so many cookies but I’m like you in not wanting to remain so guilty about it. I enjoyed every single one! But….it’s time to buckle down and consume clean foods! Hope you are having a great time in NY!! 🙂
