Happy Memorial Day!!!

Morning everyone!  I hope that you have had a great Memorial Weekend and were able to spend it with someone that you love.  I had the best time spending it with my brother and his family!

My brother and I went to see the new X-Men movie and all that I can say is that it’s my favorite one in the entire series…..  Go see this movie!  If you like that sort of thing…. Winking smile

What’s on your agenda today?  My plan is to just enjoy the day relaxing and chilling out.  I will also be doing my meal-prepping today.  Due to the movie excursion, I was not able to do it yesterday.

^^^ Just some of the meals I have prepped ^^^

It’s something that I have really enjoyed doing.  I love not having to cook anything or get anything ready during the week, especially my lunch at work.  For my lunches, I usually just have something quick but also something that I like.

  • Turkey burgers
  • Chicken burgers
  • chicken breast/brown rice/veggies
  • Chicken salad with Greek yogurt
  • Turkey meatballs
  • Tuna patty burgers

I always have an apple with my lunch and normally try to eat some fruit for my snacks.

Very random but I wanted to share a picture of my family when I was growing up.  My brothers trucker hat totally made me smile…  Smile    Good times…  We were always going somewhere!  I can remember when we would go see my mom’s family in Mississippi and my parents would make this bed in the back of the station wagon or suburban that we had and we would leave very very early in the morning so that we could miss traffic and get there early.  I miss that so much.

Look how young my dad is!!  He is 19 here and I believe he was in Vietnam in this picture too.  I love my dad.  I am so thankful that God saw fit that he should be my earthly father.  That out of all the people He could put together, He put my parents together.  From two different states, they found each other.

I hope you have an amazing day!

Just A Reminder

Morning sunshine’s!  I hope you are having a great Sunday so far!  I have been up since 4:30 so I am sure a nap is in my schedule sometime today Winking smile

I just wanted to remind you of how beautiful, important, wanted, amazing and good enough you are.  We get so caught up with life and lets face it, it’s hard but somewhere along the way we forget that we are important in the grand scheme of things and we have purpose

It’s something that I struggle with in my own life but when I look around and begin to be thankful for the small things, the big things, the hard times, the good times.  For it’s in all moments that we are made.  Made stronger.  Made humble.  Made weaker.  Made beautiful.

To truly have hope and joy is to find them not only in the midst of good times but in the hard times.

Fun day at the park!!  Although it was hot and my niece ended up getting a bit sick we really had a great time!

So many times we experience things that we can’t help but be changed by them.  There is no handbook on how to move forward and it’s always different for everyone.  I had a conversation with a good friend of mine about this toward the end of the week and it just made me think of how we can change and how we adapt to our circumstances. The important thing to remember is that we are not defined by our circumstances nor should we let that dictate how we live our life and the decisions that we make.

But change does occur.

The one thing that stays the same?

My Savior

My King

My God

My Jesus

He doesn’t give us everything that we want but what we need and what we need to become who He wants us to be.  What we need to do the things that He wants us to do.

Here’s the thing….

We will ALWAYS need Him.

I am meeting my brother today and going to check out the new X-Men movie….  I’ll let ya know if I like it Smile

I hope you have a great day!!

A Sense of Peace

Good morning my lovelies!   How are you this Sunday morning?  I am feeling just a bit under the weather but other than that I feel great!

This busy week came to and end and for some reason I just felt off.  I think that it was because I was off Monday and Tuesday and then only worked for three days.  It’s also the first of the month and that means in my line of work it’s super busy!  I was glad it came to an end!

One of the things that I was reminded of this week?  God really does know what is best for us.  Sometimes we can be so blind by our own desires that we don’t really see that it might just not be what God wants for us.  It causes us to react in ways that just aren’t godly.  It causes us to compromise in ways that we just didn’t think that we would.

What it boils down to is that He knows our future and plans and if they are not what He want, He will move us into the direction that brings us closer to Him.  If there is anything in our lives that brings us turmoil, it’s not of Him.

We really have to love ourselves enough to know that we deserve so much better.  Don’t settle for second best.  Don’t be selfish but selfless.  There really is beauty and strength in following God’s will for your life and that my friend is incredible and peaceful.

AS I said that last time we talked, I joined a gym!  And guess what?  I love it!!!

I’m not fond of body shots but isn’t the locker room great!?!  It’s so nice and everyone is really nice!!

I love how close it is to my work and to my  house.  It’s just minutes and it’s on my way home from work……this give me no excuses to not making it!

This is me getting ready for the Pump class……which I adore.   60 minutes of sweat!

Pretty much my go to recovery snack.

My lunches during the week:

I have also started something new this past week!  First let me address that it is not specifically to help me lose the 15-20 pounds that have crept back on.  It’s mainly because I just want to feel good!  And to help with some of the cravings that I have been having for a while now.

My favorite!

I really think I have a problem with collecting Starbucks coffee cups…!!  Lol Winking smile

It’s so beautiful this morning!

I hope you have an amazing Sunday and remember that you are a unique and meticulously created person!
