2013 Paws on the Pavement and a 4-wheeler ride

Hey gang!  How are you doing this morning?

I hope you had a great weekend too!  I had a great weekend, but I am pretty exhausted.  Saturday I started my day at 4:30 and then Sunday it was 3:45 and yesterday it was 4:15.

Saturday was really just a blur.

I got up really early to meet a friend of mine that I work with to spend the day with a bunch of dogs…

The sun coming up over the Arkansas River

I actually didn’t know there was going to be a 5K or I would have totally ran, but the flip flops that I had on would have left a mark.

There was some bike riding….

LA Fitness is opening 3 new locations in Central Arkansas!

some good eats!

And now to the dogs!

This is probably my favorite picture from the day.  These two dogs weren’t even together, but they just hopped around and played like that were old friends catching up….it was the cutest thing.

It looks like she was smiling for the camera!

And here’s the gang!  It was nice to see other fellow employees that I don’t get to interact with a lot.  I was just a good good day.

It was a little low due to the fact that there was a Razorback game, but I still think there was a great turnout.  I know that I had a great time.  CARE is really a great organization.  Here is their mission statement:

To conduct animal rescue by providing medical care and placing animals facing impending euthanasia into foster and permanent homes, to increase awareness for the need to spay/neuter all pets, establish a mobile spay/neuter clinic, and to work with and advise animal shelters in central Arkansas on animal welfare issues.

When I got home Saturday I had to get ready for my afternoon date.  I went 4-wheeler riding for over 6 hours and had the best time!

This was my view the entire time…. Smile

I haven’t been riding in years and just had the best time.  We found lots of trails and we even found some mud….. Winking smile

Sunday I had to get up super early and take this guy to the vet..

Isn’t he sweet!  He is one little sick guy…. Taking him to the emergency vet was not a pleasant experience and not something that I will do again.  I took Smokey to our normal vet yesterday morning before work and he is still there.

My workouts have a been a bit off with all of the business, but tomorrow I will be back at it:

Monday:    rest

Tuesday:    Pump and burn and hard core abs/50 minutes

Wednesday:    Pump Revolution/55 minutes

Thursday:    Hardcore abs and 45 minute run

Friday:    Pump and Shred/45 minutes

Saturday:    Yoga and hardcore abs/ 40 minutes

Sunday:    60 minute run

On some really exciting news!  I found this…. Arkansas Women Bloggers

I was so super excited!  They even had a meet up this past weekend, but it was too late to attend.  I can’t wait to get connected to some amazing ladies right here in Arkansas!

I hope you have a wonderful day!!
