Afternoon check-in

Today has turned into kind of a sad day.  We had to take our outside dog (Buster) to the vet this morning and they ended up putting him to sleep.  On top of having heart worms he was 15  years old.  The vet reassured us that it was the best thing.

Also popping in to let you know the meal plan is going great!

Mid-morning snack:

Cait wanted me to keep my snacks in between 150 and 180 calories.

This wasn’t quiet 150, but I wasn’t all that hungry.  120 calories

Lunch:

Turkey wrap with: turkey, lettuce, spinach, avocado, half an apple, and some dark cherry greek yogurt.

Creeper alert!

Once I got home from work, I went through all of my summer clothes and winter clothes to start a yard sale pile.  This took about an hour and a half and made me really sleepy for some reason.

What did I do about this???   I took a 45 minute nap.

When I got up I was a bit hungry, so I grabbed a snack:

2/3 cup of cottage cheese and some diced peaches.

See you guys later!  Don’t forget to love on your pets.

Morning Tuesday!

Morning!  I hope that you had a great Monday and that you are ready to start your Tuesday off right!  I actually went to bed fairly early, which was really nice.  I can’t believe this is the last couple of days before I go on vacation with my brother and his family!  I think that I am just muddling through on auto pilot to be honest. 🙂  After today, we just have two days.  Two Days!

Last night I actually started to get my clothes together!!  My brother found out that the weather that week could be kind of cool, so I am going to have to dig out some sweat shirts.  This is not a bad thing in my mind.  At all. 😉  One of the nights will actually be in the high 40’s!!!   I asked him if we were going to get to build a fire!!??  I hope so!!  I am going to dig out my suitcase tonight!!

Monday’s Workout:

Yesterday, I took all of my work out gear and Insanity DVD to work with me so that I could do it on my lunch break.  When my lunch rolled around I wasn’t exactly in the mood to do it.  I was a bit cranky and just wanted to swim around in that for a while.  So what did I do??  I jumped into my work out clothes and did it anyway!

The work out?  Cardio Power and Resistance.  Let me just say, this work out was just as hard the first time that I did it, but I can really tell just by doing this program a week that I am stronger.

Today’s work out will be Pure Cardio.  🙂

A mid-afternoon snack (Monday) and it was yummy!

1 apple and some almond butter

Breakfast:

So far, it’s just been this lil beauty.  I am thinking eggs this morning, but I also want a smoothie.  Hmmm, what to do, what to do.  🙂

This week I have noticed something.  My joints really hurt.  I mean, even more so than usual.  I have had them give me aches and pains when a big storm is coming in, but this week (since Saturday) has been pretty constant.  It starts at my ankles and goes to the knees, the hips, the wrists, and the shoulders.   I haven’t been taking my Glucosamine, but I think it’s time to start taking it again.

I mentioned above that I was a bit cranky yesterday.  I had this customer walk in right in the middle of my crankiness.  Not good.  As I was walking to my desk I even muddled the words, “I just want to stop and cry!”  As I sat down, I noticed that it was a really nice lady that I had waited on before.  Not to divulge any information, we got to talking and then ended up both in tears.  She started to tell me she was sorry and then I was telling her that I was sorry.  🙂  Anyway, I wasn’t trying to minimize my own problems or issues, but I figured out that it could always be a little bit worse.  We had the best conversation and I even told her that helping her made me feel so much better.  We ended the transaction with a hug.   It was a pretty cool moment and reminded me of one of the reasons I work for the public.

Have you heard this song yet???

Question:  Have you ever met someone for just five minutes and it change your life?

Question, salad night, and sweat

Hello people!   How was your Tuesday?  It’s noooot quite over yet, but pretty close.  🙂  I woke up this morning and felt really good!  It was another busy day at work, so feeling good was, um…..a good thing.  🙂  The third of the month is such a great day!  For all of you bankers out there, you know what I mean.

Breakfast:

I wanted something that would last a while, so I went with my usual.  Gluten-free toast, dark chocolate dreams nut butter, a banana, and some chia seeds.  This meal lasts a long time!

Lunch:

Brown rice gluten-free toast, tuna salad, and some strawberries.  Yum!  The strawberries were soooo sweet.

Afternoon snack:

Cliff bar Crispy and then a little later….

Some almonds.  I had one left before I realized that I had not taken a picture yet!

Question:

Ok, now for the question.  I love spinach.  I really do!  Here’s the deal.  I don’t eat it fast enough.  I don’t eat it every day and most of the time I end up throwing half of the container away.  So my question is this…..How do you keep your spinach fresh and make it last longer?  I guess that is two questions. 🙂

Workout:

On my lunch today I ended up doing my workout.  Jillian Michael’s Shed and Shred.  Once I finished, I cooled off for just a minute and then washed my hair.  Put some fresh deodorant on and then splashed some smell good lotion.  I don’t particularly like doing that on my lunch break, but I really wanted to get my workout in earlier in the day.  It works.  🙂

Tips for working out during the work day:

  1. Pack your clothes the night before
  2. don’t forget the DVD if you are going to use one! (this is more for me)
  3. purchase a travel bag of shampoo, deodorant, lotion, etc
  4. pack a towel and even a wash cloth
  5. smell good spray

What kinds of tips do you guys have for working out during the work day??

Welp, I am going to eat dinner with my bf Angey, so I have to run!  Have a great night and I will see ya later!
