Back to normal!

Hello!!  Yes, it’s almost 10 pm, but I really wanted to stop in and tell you about my day! 🙂  Whew!  It was another long one.  As soon as we walked in this morning, it was go time!  I didn’t stop until 2 pm.  It seemed like everything went wrong today too….which made my brain work overtime. 🙂

When I got home, I settled in and got right into my workout clothes, changed my shoelaces, and started Amy Dixon’s Breathless.




I wanted to give you the break-down of what goes into this 60 minute Tabata style work out.

  1. Jumping Jacks
  2. Skaters
  3. beach volleyball set
  4. high knees
  5. Mt Climbers or donkey kicks
  6. Ole lunges
  7. boxers challenge
  8. pogo jumps

Each circuit consists of doing each move for 20 seconds and then resting for 10 seconds eight times.  What it boils down to, is in fact a breathless hour!!  This is probably my favorite workout right now.  🙂






Overnight Oats!  I haven’t had this in a long time.  I have missed you!

  • Old Fashion oats
  • 1/2 tsp of chia seeds
  •  Rudi’s Gluten-free granola 1/4 a cup
  • chocolate coconut milk
  • almond milk
  • 1 tbsp of Barney almond butter






Cottage cheese and roasted almonds.  I also had some chicken with bbq sauce



Afternoon snack:

After my workout, I had a smoothie.  I also got the ingredients together for my breakfast.


Banana/Raspberry Smoothie

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
  • 1 tsp of chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp of flax
  • 1/4 cup of chocolate coconut milk
  • 3/4 cup of 35 Calorie Almond milk
  • 1 tbsp of Barney Almond Butter
  • Lot’s of spinach!!



Amy Dixon Breathless

As I mentioned above, this is a great workout!  When I first got started, I really thought about stopping because I wasn’t feeling it at first.  I thought about how I have never regretted doing a workout, but I have always felt bad about skipping one.  I also thought about all my Sweat Pink Ambassador Sisters and gutted it out!!  Whoop!!



I am normally not that into fashion, but I want to make an effort in wearing something that I feel pretty in.  What do you think?  I really like the shirt a lot.  🙂

Meal plan for 4/19/2012:

Breakfast:  Overnight Oats/Strawberries

Snack:  Mandarin orange

Lunch:  Cottage cheese/roasted almonds, chicken, half an apple

Snack:  clif bar

Dinner:  Mexican Quinoa dish

Snack:  Strawberries/dark chocolate

Friday Buzz!

Morning!  As I sit here typing this up, it’s raining.  I haven’t watched the weather in the last couple of days, so this in news to me.  Kinda makes me want to stay in bed and read all day.  Kinda.  🙂

So last night I got a bug up my butt and headed to see The Hunger Games.  It was still considered the early show (5:50), but the movie is nearly two and a half hours long.  With all of the previews, it was almost 8:30 when the movie let out.

When I go see a movie, I have strict rules.  No talking.  Even if I am with someone or with friends.  NO talking.  Nada, zilch, zero.  All comments will be saved for after the show.  Thankfully, there was no talking, much anyway.  🙂


What did I think about the movie????   I have read the book and they stuck pretty close to the book.  There were a few things that they changed due to times sake, but I really did like it a lot.  I can’t wait for the next film!

Standout performances?  I really did like the lead female character played by Jennifer Lawrence.  Her character, to me, is very strong and courageous.  Stanley Tucci is hilarious!

  1. Apparently Prince Harry has moved in with Prince William and Kate.  If he was looking for a roommate, all he had to do was ask….:)
  2. Men’s yoga is on the rise.
  3. Studies show it’s the worst allergy season ever.  Have you seen the kleenex boxes that I have gone through?
  4. Camel Milk?  New studies show that camel’s milk is actually better for you than cow’s milk. With higher levels of protein, magnesium, copper, iron, sodium, and zinc. Three times the amount of Vitamin C and 10 times the amount of iron.
  5. I am obsessed with Missing staring Ashley Judd.  Check this show out!
  6. I have a youth conference to attend this weekend!  Pretty stoked!  I have to go pack! agh!
