Hello!   When my alarm went off this morning, I thought really??  I felt like I had just gone to sleep!   I contemplated doing a morning workout, but it was a no go.  I am not sure what changed, but it has been super difficult to get a workout in first thing.  I think I need to just go get in the shower with some cold water to wake myself up!

I did manage to get a workout in today!  I hung out after work and popped in Jillian’s DVD and got my sweat on.  🙂

I ended up only eating one of the pieces of toast….

  • 1/2 cup of frozen cherries

Exciting news!!!

A few weeks ago I got an e-mail to be apart of some fantastic ladies at FitApproach.  I can’t tell you how excited I was to get asked!!  Alyse and Jamie (from the website) sent me a logo that I could add to my page………this totally made me smile.  I mean huge!  I can’t wait to learn from these ladies and get great ideas when it comes to healthy living.  I will also be linking some awesome new blogs that I will be reading.  🙂

Book Update:

I finished the Hunger Games series!!!!  I actually finished the last book today.  I will be honest, the last book was a little tough to get through.  I started off really great, but by the middle of the book I was trying to latch onto a theme….it kind of jumped around a lot.  The end??  You will have to read it!!  But I will say this, it did end the way that I wanted it to.  🙂

I have to go wash my face now..:)  I hope you have a great night!!

Hulu, new shoes, and my lil man

Hiya!  As you can tell by my title, I have discovered Hulu.  🙂   Lately, I have been watching old episodes of King of Queens.  The show is hilarious!  Anyway, I was trying to find a website that would let you watch full episodes, and bam!  Hulu.  I love you.  Not really, but now I know where to go!

Lunch:

No picture, but it was a smoothie

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen cherries
  • 1 tbsp flax
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup of 35 Calorie Almond milk
  • 1 tbsp of chocolate peanut butter
  • 1 large handful of spinach

Mom and I headed to Benton today to see if I could find some new jeans.  Just a side note, spring is not a good time to find jeans.  Yes, they are on sale.  No, they are not the brands that you want.

Instead of jeans, I found these little snazzy numbers:

I can’t wait to test them out!

My lil man wanted to snuggle this morning……and a little photo shoot this afternoon.  🙂

He finally had enough of me snapping pictures.

Dinner:

Homemade pizza turkey pizza, with a grape/walnut salad.  Yum!

What has your day been like?

Missions Fair 2012!

Hey, hey!!  I hope your Sunday has been a restful one!   Today we had a Mission’s Fair at my church and it was great!  Our association has several different ministries and a lot of them came out today to hand out information.  It was nice to meet different people who are of like-mind when it comes to missions and ministry.

Here are some pictures of each ministry:

Foreign Missions is and will always be very special to me.  I love experiencing different cultures and introducing Christ to people, but I really love that fact that these ministries are all based in Arkansas and help in the surrounding areas, locally.

Of course we had donuts…. 🙂

Breakfast:

Sara Lee Delightful 90 Calorie English Muffins, Justin’s Chocolate Peanut butter, 1 banana, and some chia seeds.

It’s SO beautiful today!  It’s sunny, there is a cool breeze.  This is the type of day that someone should not be inside.  🙂

Lunch:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 1 tbsp flax
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp of Justin’s Chocolate Peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup of Almond Milk
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 large handful of spinach

I am off to find something to do outside!  I hope that you have a great afternoon!  See you tomorrow, if not later tonight! 🙂

Foods, Nature, and getting up late

Hey Hey!!!  How’s your Friday going so far??   Happy Friday!!  We were supposed to get some really bad weather here in Arkansas, but it turned out to be a pretty day.  It’s 80 degrees outside!!

Breakfast:

Thomas English muffin, Justin’s Chocolate peanut butter, banana, chia seeds, and Coffee!

I hate waking up late.  Well, what I consider late, someone else may not.  I usually get up at least and hour before I am supposed to so that I can enjoy my breakfast and my coffee.  This morning, it didn’t work out.  I got up on time, but there was not time to just wake up……I had to hit the shower. I feel like I am chasing my tail today.  🙂

Lunch:

Key Lime Greek yogurt and some gluten-free granola. 🙂

Like I said earlier, it’s 80 degrees here!  I went outside this morning when I got to work and took a couple of pictures of the Dogwood trees that are blooming.

Ahhhhh Spring. 😉

One of my friends brought me really cool gift today!

Thanks Diahann!!  I love this stuff!  Have you ever smelled this before?  You should go to Bath and Body Works and pick this up right now.

Workout:

I will be doing Ripped in 30 by Jillian Michael’s when I get home.  Two more days and then it’s on to Level 2!

My nephew will be staying the night tonight, so I am sure we will watch Transformers 3 for the billionth time.  It’s ok, he is only this little once.  He is the coolest little boy and I love him!

Have a  great afternoon!

Question:  What are you big plans this weekend? Anyone else getting ready for a yard sale?

Day 1 of the 30 Day Challenge

Happy Monday! 🙂   How’s your Monday going so far?  It’s just about over.  Have you had a good day?

It was so beautiful here today.  The sun was shining and the temperature was in the high 60’s.  It was down right gorgeous!

Workout:

This morning started my 30 Challenge!  I was really excited to get up this morning and start this challenge.  I am sticking with Level 1 on Jillian Michael’s Ripped in 30.  I really tried to concentrate on my form and my breathing during the workout.  The workout takes about 34 minutes.  Who doesn’t have 34 minutes??

During this challenge I am also going to lay off the sugar.  No specialty coffee’s or candy.  None.  Nada.  To recap, here is what my plan is:

  • Have some quiet time each day
  • Jillian Michael’s Ripped in 30 Monday thru Friday
  • Saturday and Sunday will be active rest days
  • no specialty coffee
  • no candy

I can do this!

Breakfast:

Ener-G bread with a banana, dark chocolate peanut butter and chia seeds.  A cup of joe on the side…:)

Making this plan and setting this goal/challenge has really brought my focus back in line.  I feel rejuvenated!

Lunch:

Very random

Dannon Strawberry Greek yogurt and an orange (not pictured)

Dinner:

Whole wheat hot dog bun, lite/no sugar added spaghetti sauce, meatball sub.  This was SO good!  I think I will have it again.  🙂

I have a half-day tomorrow!  Love those days!  🙂  Have a great night!!
