Saturday goodness

Just popping in to say that I hope you have a great day!!    I have to work today and then I have a few things that I need to do, so I will catch ya later!  🙂

Remember this list?

  • Wash my car.  Um, I can’t even describe the dirt that is on it right now.
  • Dig out all of my Nicholas Sparks books.  You might wonder why I would put this on a list, but trust me, I need to write it down. :)
  • clean out the fridge
  • organized my closet.  This seems to be a regular occurrence.
  • Dust.  Ugh.
  • get rid of some of the pictures on my media page/clean up blog

Well you can add to it:

  • go to grocery store

I made some avocado pudding last night…. Yum!

I took two awesome avocado’s, cocoa, and some honey and mixed it on up in a food processor.  Oh my goodness good!  I don’t really care for the texture of avocado’s, so getting them into my diet this way is pretty cool.

🙂

Breakfast:

Oatmeal with 1 tbsp of White chocolate dreams nut butter and one slice of whole wheat/whole grain toast.  I woke up this morning craving oatmeal and this was so good!

See ya later!!

The first Monday in 2012!

Well I don’t know about you, but I feel much better this morning!  Still a little congested and coughing, but all in all, much better.  When I went to bed last night, I really wanted to get up early this morning so that I could get back into some sort of routine.  Getting up at 5:30 tomorrow is probably gonna hurt.  😉  Anyway, it didn’t happen this morning.  I got up at 8:30, however, I did get a workout in and was thankful for that.

Workout:

The Firm Cardio Dance Party

It’s only 30 minutes, so I worked in some upper body strength.  A total of 45 minutes.  🙂  After my workout I wasn’t sure what I wanted for breakfast, but ended up going with the egg, bacon, and bagel combo.

The organic blueberry jam was the icing on the cake so to speak…:)

Ok…..I have to share this!!  My mom has been doing Weight Watchers for months now and for the most part is doing really well.  I try to encourage her to incorporate some sort of exercise into her plan.  As most of you know, this is a part of any health plan.  My mom just turned 60 this past year, (she is going to kill me), and so I know her body is a little limited as to what she can do.  She just walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes!!  This is huge!  I am so proud of her and hope that she continues to do this.  🙂  Mom if you are reading this, and I know that you are, I love you!

I have to tell you this funny thing…..I am almost embarrassed to admit this, but I am hooked on a new show.  It’s called Finding Bigfoot  and it comes on the Animal Planet channel.  I love it!!  You would think that it would be kind of cheesy, and to a certain degree it is, but it really is interesting.  🙂  I am currently watching the latest episode right now.  😉

I meant to tell you yesterday!!  I finished my book!!  The Best of Me: by Nicholas Sparks aaaand I started a new one!

 The Lucky One

Also by Nicholas Sparks.  A movie, with the same name, is coming out this year and I wanted to get it read before the it came out.  I think it’s starring Zac Efron…..I just looked, it’s comes out April 20th.  🙂

Nutrition Tip:

I have been using raspberries in my smoothies lately and I wanted to really delve into the nutrition level of these red, deliciousness, fruits.  I found this link that really gives the ins and outs of this fruit.  Here is the link:  Raspberry Nutrition Facts  Enjoy!

Question:  What is your favorite fruit?   Do you go through fruit phases??

I hope you have a great day!

Today is my Friday!

So I have been counting the days down to this Wednesday.  This Wednesday was my Friday!  I am off until the 3rd and I am going to try to enjoy myself until then.  🙂  Work started off kind of bumpy, but soon settled down.

My lunch breaks are now going to be consumed by reading the new Nicholas Sparks book; The Best of Me.  I can’t put it down.  When you start a book, do you get sucked in by the characters?  I am really getting attached to these characters and their growth…..which means something bad or tragic is going to happen to one of them and I will end the book by crying like a baby.

This is what I saw on my lunch break….

Since I didn’t have to be at work until 10:00 a.m. today I relished the idea of sleeping in a little, but once I got up I went right to the DVD player to start my workout.  Again, lay your clothes out and put the DVD in the player so there are NO excuses.  🙂  Just do it! As Nike would say.   I am still doing The Firm DVD’s, but come January 1st I am going to start running again.  I gave myself one month to let the muscle in my stomach heal, so we will see what happens.

I am still on my Dannon Greek yogurt kick…..the one difference today???  I added an orange to the mix.  It wasn’t all that sweet, but it was a nice addition to the yogurt.

Have you seen the movie Abduction with Taylor Lautner yet?  I am not a huge fan of the Twilight series so I wasn’t sure if I would like it.  I had some issues with the satellite network that I use and for my time they gave me a couple of free PPV movie passes.  I wasn’t quite sure what to rent, but ended up renting Abduction.  It was pretty good.  Better than I thought it was going to be actually.

Remember the mission trip to Kazakhstan?  Well here is another picture or two.  🙂  The missionaries we stayed with were awesome!  Mrs. Diane (the wife) made some tea one afternoon and we had our own little tea party.  It was lots of fun and very sweet!

While I was there I had a translator and she was a God send.  It’s funny, there were times when her English was better than mine!  I miss you Nastia!

Welp, this is what I will be looking at for the rest of the night…

Have a great night!  Sleep, eat well, and drink lots of water!
