YEC Youth Evangelism Conference

Hey hey!  Sorry for the absence as of late, but it’s been a busy Spring so far!  It’s funny, springing forward added more daylight in the afternoon, but I still feel like I lose daylight!!

Rudi’s gluten-free bread, with almond butter and organic grape spread

Chicken, black beans, and some Israel couscous with pumpkin seeds.

Breakfast:

Recycled photo: Gluten-free toast, chocolate nut butter, banana, and some chia seeds

The last time we spoke I also mentioned that the youth at my church would be attending the YEC youth conference this weekend.  We had such a blast!!  The music was great, the message was great and you could feel the Holy Spirit moving in the kids that were there.  We attended last year, but there were way more kids there this year!

We were able to get some rooms at a Hotel in Little Rock, a wise decision because it was really late when the first night was over!  I also had some reading material before I went to bed.

Goofing around!

The band that led the praise music there was Kristian Stanfill!  If you haven’t heard them, please go check them out!  Our guest speaker was Clayton King.

My brother and I were able to meet the lead singer Kristian Stanfill.  Awesome guy and very passionate about the Lord.  Boy he had a grip of a handshake!

Saturday morning…Day two of the conference.  Breakfast:  Oatmeal with brown sugar, and some granola.   I saved the banana for a snack later.

There was also a “mentalist” there….Drew Worsham.  This guy is like no other illusionist.  I wouldn’t even call him that.  He uses his talent to bring others to the Lord!  He was really funny too!

We had the best time!  It was tiring, and non-stop, but I loved every minute.  The youth that we took were well-behaved and the most important thing is that there were decisions made and lives changed.

The first night we were there, Clayton King spoke about how we believe.  Believe in Christ isn’t enough.  Everyone believes in Him, even Satan.  You can’t have salvation by inheritance, or intellectually.  You get it by an intimate relationship with Him.  By changing and taking risks for Christ.  Clayton also talked about how important sexual purity is.  Sex isn’t a bad thing, it is a gift for the walls of marriage.  Outside the walls of marriage it can lead to heartache, depression, anger, bitterness, and decisions that you never thought you would have to make.

I hope you have a great afternoon!!

Remember that the month of February is Heart Awareness month.  Educate yourself on the risks and the symptoms of heart disease.  Are you at risk?  Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women.  Things that increase the risk of heart disease?  Smoking, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and being overweight.  Know the risks.  You only have one heart.

Good night!
