Just Relax :)

Morning!  I hope everyone is having a great Saturday so far.  🙂  I was able to sleep in (8:00!!) and that felt amazing.  I probably could have just stayed in bed, but I would have felt like I had slept the day away.  No big plans this weekend, but I am hoping to catch up with my BF Angey later today.

Yesterdays Breakfast:

  • 1/3 cup of old fashion oats
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of 35 Cal almond milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of chia seeds
  • 1/2 scoop of whey protein powder
  • 1 tbls of Dark Chocolate Dreams

Today’s Breakfast:

  • 1 cup of 35 Cal almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen cherries
  • 1 tbls mealed flax
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 handful of Kale
  • 1 scoop of Whey protein powder

Yesterday’s Lunch:

Campbell’s Select Tomato soup and a tuna melt sandwich

Work:

We had a bake sale/donation deal at work yesterday to raise funds for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and lets just say there were tons of cookies everywhere!!  I think I actually lost count of how many I ate!  AGH!

I read this devotion this morning and thought that I would share it with you:

Come to Me, and rest in My loving Presence.  You know that this day will bring difficulties, and you are trying to think your way through those trials.  As you anticipate what is ahead of you, you forget that I am with you–now and always.  Rehearsing your troubles results in experiencing them many times, whereas you are meant to go through them only when they actually occur.  Do no multiply your suffering in this way!  Instead, come to Me, and relax in My Peace.  I will strengthen you and prepare you for this day, transforming your fear into confident trust.

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Yoke=A bar of wood that was used to unite two animals.

Workout:  The Firm Cardio Fusion.  This workout felt great!  It incoroporated some stretching and lengthening moves.  No high impact moves.  All about muscle recovery!

I hope you have a great rest of the day and don’t forget to relax!

New BodyRock Challenge!

After having so much rain here in Arkansas, today’s weather was a nice change.  It was a bit cool, but really nice.  My Seminary class was canceled tonight, so I have a little extra time to blog and then get in some studying.  If I want college credit for the classes, I have to write a paper, to be turned in at the end of the semester.  I have to pick two topics from the Ethics book and write a combined paper on each, discussing points and then giving a biblical outlook of each.  Sounds easy right?  🙂

Workout:

Jillian’s Killer Buns and Thighs!

Breakfast:

Overnight Oats and a lovely cup joe.  🙂

In the oats:

  • 1/3 cup of old fashion oats
  • 1 tsp of chia seeds
  • 1 tbs of peanut butter
  • 1/2 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder
  • 1/2 cup of Almond milk
  • 1/4 cup of Kashi oats

Lunch:

Tuna melt sandwich, with provolone cheese, 1 hard-boiled egg, and some strawberries.  This was a nice change! (the tuna is under there I promise!)

Snack:

Something new!  One Clementine and some Stonyfield lemon yogurt.  So so good!  🙂

Now onto the title of my post!  Remember the Bodyrock Challenge that I just recently finished?   Well, they are starting another one today!  I really like the other challenge a lot and saw a big difference in my upper body strength.  So, with that said I am setting here in my workout clothes waiting for them to post the new workout on their website.  Did I mention that it’s free??  Well, it is.  You simply just watch the video and do the workout.  The best thing is that they break the workouts down for you and give you modifications, which I take advantage of! 🙂  Want to join me??  If you do, go to the website and read the intro for the new Challenge.  You can also “like” them on Facebook and get the workouts there and get some other tips for the challenge.

I hope that you have a great rest of the night!

Question: What’s the best workout that you have ever done and works really well for you??
